USC Fall 2026 Cohort Sets Record High GPA
USC admissions office admitted a Fall 2026 cohort with a record high 3.92 GPA
USC had nearly 79,290 applications and admitted 9,251 for Fall 2026 admissions. (source) This 11.68% admissions rate shows that USC is still highly selective, which allowed the admissions office to select the best of the best students resulting in a record high 3.92 GPA.
The higher the GPA an applicant has the better. Schools like USC could honestly fill an incoming cohort with almost perfect GPA’s if it felt like it. So a strong GPA is still almost a requirement for any application, but know other strengths besides a GPA could also lead to a letter of admissions. – Rusty W. admissions counselor
Other universities in California are still experiencing large number of applications which allows them to have selective admissions. These schools include UC Davis, UCLA, UC Irvine, and UC Berkeley.
Other factors that can lead to a letter of admissions include standardized test scores, personal statements, resume and experience, or industry achievements.
