International Students Should Study in the US
The US is still the top destination in the world for students looking to study abroad. Other top countries include UK, Australia, Canada, South Korea, and China. The destination really depends on major factors for students including budget, language, academic goals, personal and professional goals, and ability to secure the proper immigration status.
Currently 1.17 million international students are studying in the US. (source) This number is expected to drop in 2026 and 2027 as the effects of immigration policies are recorded; especially in an expected drop in OPT (Optional Practical Training).Companies can and do still hire international students. These companies are mostly large employers like Microsoft, Amazon, AT&T, and Nike. These are great employers for international students.
