Any undergraduate major can be a great choice as long as it’s a part of a well developed plan
Botany is the study of plants. Some might say it’s not a wise major to study, but as a team of seasoned admissions officer we say it is a great major as long as it is a part of a well developed plan. A bachelor’s degree in botany can be paired with an MBA, a masters in education, or other graduate degrees to lead to a successful career.
This is all to say that any undergraduate degree can be a smart major when it’s part of a plan.
If someone is considering an MBA, this of an undergraduate degree as insight into an industry or function. For example – an undergraduate degree in Botany paired with an MBA would prepare someone to manage a plant nursery, run a great plant logistics company, import/export exotic plants, or run other businesses regarding plants.
